How to give Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction (DDPI)?
Can I avoid doing EDIS every time before placing sale order?
Client who are not comfortable with doing EDIS on daily basis can give DDPI ( one time) and than they do not required to do EDIS before putting sale order.
DDPI (Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction) is one pager Standing Instruction to pick up shares from Demat Account and give to Clearing Corporation (CC) upon client placing sale order. This one pager can be signed digitally (paperless) using Aadhar OTP. Once DDPI is given, same is valid for tendering shares in buyback, Pledging shares for Margin benefit and sale of delivery on Stock Exchange.
- Step 1:
Mobile User, Click on Add / Modify button on top right hand side inside profile menu.
Web User, Click on BO Modification menu inside profile menu
- Step 2:
User will be taken to ProStocks Console where you will see option of Giving DDPI. This one pager standing instruction can be filled online and signed using Aadhar OTP.
Click on Generate PDF and then click on Generate Digitally Signed PDF
- Step 3:
After clicking on Generate Digitally Signed PDF you’ll get an option to send authentication code on your registered mobile number. First confirm your mobile number and then click on Send code to Mobile. You’ll get 5 digits security code on your registered mobile number, once you submit the code, you’ll get an option to Sign Now click on that it will take you to the NSDL E-sign page.
- Step 4:
In last step you need to do E-sign using your Aadhar Number and OTP to complete the process.
After completing the e-sign process you will get the digitally signed PDF
- Step 5:
Please email duly signed DDPI Form to [email protected] from your registered email id for activation.
Please note it takes around 5 working days to activate DDPI in Trading Account.
Please note that henceforth EDIS option is not available for tendering shares in buyback.
